These are fabulous on the BBQ or done in the oven. Marinate them....or not! They are perfect as a finger lickin' Friday Feast or as part of a whole meal. They can also double as a chicken salad if you want them too!

Smokin' Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 1kg Chicken thighs cut in half or mini wings
  • 2 teaspoons unrefined sea salt or Himalayan salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons Secret Spice Co Smokin’

  • ¼ cup lemon juice (optional, but awesome!)
  • If you fancy more kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder to the mix.

Directions

  1. Pop the chicken in a large bowl
  2. Sprinkle over the spice and add the lemon juice (if adding)
  3. Massage through all the nooks and crannies of the chicken
  4. Cover and pop in the fridge (3 hours max due to the lemon)
  5. Pop a little coconut oil or lard on a hot grill or BBQ
  6. Cook on both sides for 8-12 minutes or until cooked through (don’t be tempted to turn too soon so a nice caramelisation has occurred - that’s the best bit!
  7. Skinnier pieces will cook faster so remove those and check the fatter ones.
  8. Once cooked, serve with a salad or veg and my super easy garlic aioli - never buy mayo again!!
