Here’s my favourite ways of cooking that any one of the blends can be used in to get you through next week.
Choose the right recipe for the amount of time and energy you have on each day.
Monday - Tray Bake
It's a versatile recipe that can accommodate any ingredients you have on hand, so you can finally put those leftover veggies to good use.
All you need to do is chop, spice, lay, bake, and serve with some sauciness from the base of the pan.
Tuesday - Roast
The easiest meal on earth for me is a roast. The end result is worth the sporadic bursts of effort required while it’s cooking.
No matter what cut of meat you have, season it with a mix of herbs, spices and salt. It also usually likes a little fat or oil rubbed over it too. Get your hands dirty and get all those herbs in the nooks and cranny's! Be generous with your mix and your salt.
Wednesday - Slow Cook
Whether you slow cook in the oven, on the stove top or in an actual slow cooker, the benefits are the same.
Why Slow Cook?
- Cheaper cuts of meats
- Set and forget
- Change the spice, change the flavour (no brainer)
- Freezes well.
- No recipe required
Thursday - One Pot Wonder
This is great for a Thursday to get ready for a restock on the weekend.
I tend to throw all the veggies out of the fridge into the Thermomix and blitz them up finely.
Chuck them in a pot with what ever meat I have, usually chicken because it's a quicker cook time. Add a bottle of passata, spice and salt - set and forget!
Friday - BBQ or PanFry
Steak, chicken, chops, any vegetables - they're all made amazing with Secret Spice Co on them!
Season, grill and go! One pan saves washing up!
You can get fancy and skewer things, but really, who needs to waste time doing that?
Have a fab weekend doing things you love with people that light you up!
