Dates and Aroma Spice are the perfect combo
Choose your own ingredients here.
- Change the essential oil to peppermint,
- use cacao nibs instead of cranberries,
- Use any nut butter instead of peanut
- Leave out the cacao altogether and add lemon or lime essential oils
Ingredients
-
1 cup of cashews or almonds
- ½ cup shredded coconut

- ½ cup of peanut butter (look for one that’s just peanuts. nothing added)
-
1 tablespoon of Aroma Spice
-
3 drops of orange essential oils (I use Twenty8 Essentials)
- 2 tablespoons of dried cranberries or goji berries
- Choose a mix of pepitas, sunflower seeds, sesame, hemp or chia seeds instead of nuts
- Tahini paste instead of peanut butter
Nut Free
Directions
Soak your dates in a bowl of boiled kettle water if using dried.
- Blitz the nuts and coconut together in a high speed food processor (Thermie 4 sec/spd5)
- Pop the remaining ingredients in and blitz until well combined
- Taste for sweetness and spice. Add more dates or spice if needed.
- Pour it out into a bowl
- It will be crumbly but as you form it into balls they will be perfect
- Roll them in desiccated coconut or cacao for a little chocolate hit!
- Place on a tray and in the fridge for an hour or two to firm up.
- Have with a cup of tea, a friend or just coz!
Recipe Note
If you're short on time, press the mixture in a slice tin and drizzle it with melted dark chocolate!
