How should I store my Secret Spices?
When you first receive your spices, they may have become compressed or clumpy during storage, packaging or posting. To loosen them up, simply give them a shake and a squeeze. The same goes for spices you haven't used in a while. You may see clumps form but never fear! Unlike some store-bought blends, our spices don't contain anti-caking agents or other additives that keep them looking perfect for months and months on end.
To keep your spices looking and tasting their best:
- Store them in one of our reusable jars or an airtight container in a cool, dry place, such as a drawer or cupboard.
- Always use a clean and dry spoon.
- Avoid exposing them to prolonged light, as this can cause their colours to fade and the flavours may fade as well.
