I know this sounds like such a simple, nothing kinda recipe, but it was the best recipe I added to my repertoire ever! What this recipe adds is the ability to get more veg on your plate that tastes good. I can even get my fusspot to eat this one!
Cruciferous veg (think broc, cauli, brussels and cabbage) are one of the veg groups you need to get in every day. They have awesome fibre, helps support detoxification and the breaking down of histamines (that cause inflammation), and clearing out the toxins naturally produced by some of our gut bacteria. Whoa! Too much?
I can easily have a pan of this cooking away off to the side while I get other things ready. If it cooks before I need it, I just set it aside and reheat it before serving. Low maintenance, easy, cheap as chips and sooo yum.
With the added Herbalicious Spice, the flavour gets to a different level. Leave out the onion and bacon if you like, it’s still good, but make sure you cook that cabbage down well and use plenty of olive oil.
